What RE:Writeoff doesn't do
- · Read-only access — we never send, modify, or delete anything in your Gmail
- · Irrelevant emails are dropped immediately; we only keep what's tied to a deductible activity
- · Mailbox credentials are encrypted at rest with envelope encryption
- · You can revoke access from Gmail or from inside RE:Writeoff at any time
Gmail FAQ
Does this work with Google Workspace accounts?
Yes. Personal @gmail.com and Workspace custom-domain accounts both work. Workspace admins may need to enable app passwords for the domain.
Will I see a security warning from Google?
No. Connecting via app password doesn't trigger any "unverified app" prompts — that only applied to OAuth.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes. Revoke the app password from your Google account settings, or disconnect the mailbox in RE:Writeoff. Both immediately stop syncing.
