What RE:Writeoff doesn't do
- · Read-only access — we never send, modify, or delete anything in your Yahoo Mail
- · Irrelevant emails are dropped immediately; we only keep what's tied to a deductible activity
- · Mailbox credentials are encrypted at rest with envelope encryption
- · You can revoke access from Yahoo Mail or from inside RE:Writeoff at any time
Yahoo Mail FAQ
Does AOL Mail work too?
Yes. AOL runs on the same Yahoo backend, so AOL Mail accounts work with the Yahoo preset.
Is this safe given Yahoo's past breaches?
App passwords are scoped to a single application — even if leaked, attackers can't access your main Yahoo account or other apps. RE:Writeoff also encrypts the credential at rest.
How do I revoke access?
Sign into Yahoo Account Security and delete the RE:Writeoff app password, or disconnect the mailbox inside RE:Writeoff.
